Housing Promotion Foundation
We are a private development organization, built in Costa Rica in June 1987, with the objective of supporting lower income families to solve their housing and community development needs.
FUPROVI was born more than 32 years ago at the initiative of a group of Costa Ricans from different sectors interested in creating a habitat improvement model, today this foundation is one of the most stable non-governmental organizations in the country and Latin America.
During these three decades we have developed 132 housing projects throughout the country, of which 10 have been emergency care. We have built 15,000 homes, attended more than 115,000 people and trained more than 39,000 people in community strengthening processes. Historically we have carried out projects for migrants and refugees from Central America. And we have received more than 20 national and international awards.
